In this industry (online), if you don't stick out, you fade out. Marketing is relevant, and quite important, however if a site lacks visual appeal or has an awkward layout/functionality, you will fade fast. Our focus to customers is 'all around satisfaction', and our success is in the stickiness of each page from three standpoints; 1. Beauty/appeal: Our site is branded with beautiful graphics and design, which is probably the most important part of any new package/product/service campaign. 2. Value: we offer a variety of features that most sites lack, or overcharge for. By bringing down the price to less than half of what competitors charge and offering more than most, we attract the currently active and paying online dating community, as well as new users who are used to seeing overpriced, undervalued offers. 3. Appeal: we have built the site from the ground up, keeping the end user in mind. From cost to composition/content flow, right down to an extras section with categories and features our demographic would find most useful. i.e. cheap travel, job/career finder, great nitelife+event listings and more.
What most do not realize is that this industry is not going to phase out like most new fads or business buzz. While the market is extremely saturated, I think you and I both agree that there is a lot of fluff out there. Within the next few years, most good networking sites will get bought out and fluffs will fold their cards or scrape by... The ones that will stick around, will be a) the huge conglomerate, b) the cheap/free site, c) Us! Why? Because we combine both a & b. Our customers need to be kept both entertained and up to date with the brand, its features, content, and functions. We cannot lose track of this, as our content IS king in this initiative. The end users need exposure to new, creative ideas, concepts, and technology that will keep them active within a community/industry. As the old saying goes, "You can sell dirty garbage if it's packaged and sold right, or have a hard time giving gold away if it's even packaged wrong". Marketing does not replace a great service, or a bad product. If a customer pays for your product/service, and you lose that customer, due to bad/lack of marketing, it's really tough to get them back. If you lose a customer due to a bad experience or false marketing (i.e. opening the beautifully packaged dirty garbage, and seeing what's inside), you lose them, and any chance of a repeat sale for good. "Our competitors tend to charge a lot of money for their services, half of which do not work properly, are slow/wonky, or have very limited functionality. Websocials.com offers its audience a well designed, quick and friendly way to both gain exposure, stay active with your social life and even find yourself a better half, and it's free!! Although we may have to introduce a small fee in the future to cover operational costs, it will still be nominal compared to any other site out there, and a percentage of your payment will go directly to a charity of choice".
